Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 24, 2026 · Last Updated: April 24, 2026
Cryptiqo is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under applicable law, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
1. Who We Are
Cryptiqo (cryptiqo.net) is an independent cryptocurrency market data tracker operated by an individual developer. For any questions, contact us at cryptiqo@outlook.com.
2. Information We Collect
When you visit Cryptiqo, we may collect the following types of information:
- Usage data: IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages visited, and time spent — collected automatically via web server logs and analytics tools (Google Analytics).
- Contact information: If you submit our contact form, we collect your name and email address solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not subscribe you to any marketing list.
- Browser local storage: We store API response data temporarily in your browser's localStorage (prefixed with
cq_) to reduce redundant API calls and speed up the interface. This data never leaves your device and expires within 55 seconds to 5 minutes depending on the data type. - Cookies: We and our advertising partners (Google AdSense) use cookies. See Section 5 for details and opt-out options.
- Portfolio account data: If you create a portfolio account, we store your email address, display name, and portfolio holdings (coin names and quantities).
3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), we process personal data under the following legal bases:
- Consent — for analytics cookies and advertising cookies, collected via our cookie consent banner.
- Legitimate interests — for server access logs used to detect abuse and maintain platform security.
- Contract performance — for portfolio account data, processed to provide the service you signed up for.
- Legal obligation — where required by applicable law.
You may withdraw consent at any time by clearing cookies or contacting us.
4. How We Use Your Information
- To operate and improve the Cryptiqo platform
- To respond to contact form submissions
- To analyze aggregate usage patterns and fix technical issues
- To display relevant advertising through Google AdSense (only after cookie consent)
- To provide and sync your portfolio across devices (registered users only)
We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
5. Cookies and Advertising
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google AdSense uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Advertising cookies are only loaded after you accept via our cookie consent banner. You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time by visiting Google Ad Settings or the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page.
We also use Google Analytics (loaded only after consent) to understand aggregate traffic patterns. We have enabled IP anonymization. Analytics data does not identify individual users. For more on how Google uses data when you visit our site, see Google's Partner Site Policy.
If you click "Decline" on our cookie banner, no analytics or advertising cookies are loaded. You may change your preference at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage for this site.
6. Third-Party Data Sources
Cryptiqo uses the following third-party APIs to display market data. When your browser fetches data from these services, those providers may log technical information about your request (such as your IP address) in accordance with their own privacy policies:
- CoinGecko API — cryptocurrency price and market data. See CoinGecko Privacy Policy.
- Alternative.me — Fear & Greed Index. See Alternative.me Privacy Policy.
7. Data Retention
Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months, after which they are deleted. Portfolio account data is retained for as long as your account is active; you may request deletion at any time. Server access logs are retained for up to 30 days. Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months per our Analytics configuration.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data.
- Erasure ("right to be forgotten") — request deletion of your personal data.
- Restriction — request that we limit processing of your data.
- Portability — request your data in a portable format.
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent — at any time for consent-based processing.
- CCPA (California residents) — you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to opt out of its sale (we do not sell data), and to non-discriminatory service.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at cryptiqo@outlook.com. We will respond within 30 days. If you are an EEA resident and are unsatisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
9. Children's Privacy
Cryptiqo is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA where applicable). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us immediately at cryptiqo@outlook.com and we will promptly delete it.
10. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit, and access controls for any data we store. Portfolio data is stored in database with row-level security policies. However, no internet transmission or storage system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Third-Party Links
Our site may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before submitting any personal information.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by a revised effective date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we may also post a notice on the site. Continued use of Cryptiqo after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
13. Contact
For any privacy-related questions or requests: cryptiqo@outlook.com. We aim to respond within 1–3 business days for general inquiries and within 30 days for formal data subject requests.
